Quiz Nights

To help keep Northiam villagers on the ball and their brains active (and because we all enjoy a sociable get-together in a good cause and some of us are quite competitive!), the Bonfire Society organises two quizzes a year which are held in spring and winter at Northiam Village Hall. Pete and Ruth, our quiz supremos, always manage to come up with some quirky and unexpected questions and it can get quite lively…..There are prizes for the winning team (and very nice wooden spoons for the losers).

We generally have around 16 teams taking part, with eight people per team. Doors are open at 7pm and the quiz begins at 7.30pm. There’s wine and water on the table as you arrive and a ploughman’s-type supper is provided at the interval, and a raffle with good prizes. The evening generally finishes around 10.30pm.
