The Guy Competition

We invite you to join in the preparations by taking part in our Guy Competition.

 

In the fortnight leading up to the Bonfire, we all enjoy seeing Guys popping up around the village, so give your creative side free reign and put some old clothes to use.

 We will be awarding prizes, and so that your Guy can be judged at its best, we suggest you post a picture on our Facebook page once it’s in position, and should the weather do its worst, we will be able to take that into account on the day.

On Bonfire Day – 4th October – please bring your guy to the Village Green (opposite Will’s) for 12 noon for the judging and prize-giving. All the guys will then be given a free ride to the Bonfire Field and a prime spot on the bonfire. (You may need to explain to younger entrants that their creations will be burned.)
